“We’re not here to give a sales pitch; we are sent by the Spirit to share how Jesus changes everything.” -Jeff Vanderstelt
I’m just so thankful for Andrew Peterson’s life and ministry.
It was February when we set down with Andrew Peterson in Franklin, Tenn., to interview him for the cover story of the current RTM Magazine. My vocabulary is too weak to string together a sentence that would fully convey how much I learned from him that day.
We laughed, we (I) cried, we talked about how much we love the Gospel.
It was my favorite interview.
In the March/April RTM Magazine, readers will have access to articles and resources that discuss discipleship, define life on mission, and detail the believer’s purpose in this world.
Please consider reading the new issue. I fully believe in this magazine and what God can do with it—it is a free resource packed with Gospel-saturated articles, reviews/recommendations, profile stories and wisdom. Just assembling this issue and praying over each article has been such a help to my heart and a refocusing on the real mission we’ve been assigned.
Soli Deo Gloria.
When World War II broke out and the German Blitzkrieg’s “Nazification” of the Dutch people escalated in May 1940, the ten Boom family home in Haarlem, Amsterdam, became a refuge for many. Jews, members of the Dutch underground resistance movement, students, and intellectuals alike were warmly welcomed into the home above the ten Boom watch shop, where they were treated as part of the family and given food, the Word of God, and a community unified by the desire for freedom.
Before long, the safe house was slightly remodeled and a secret room was built into Corrie’s upstairs bedroom to harbor refugees when the Gestapo would illegally and forcibly search homes.
What is it about fears that so easily ensnares us?
The last six months have brought with it a significant amount of joy, a significant amount of challenges and a significant amount of exposure to pretty much every fear-related thing in my heart. There’s been lots of tearing down, lots of pruning and lots of learning to deal with fear.
AMAZING. (I still can’t believe this is my JOB!) May God’s glory be magnified as His Gospel goes out.
Have you downloaded it yet? Check it out for yourself here.
Ahh, Soli Deo Gloria.
It’s no secret I love reading, writing, missions, adoption, discipleship and a whole host of other things that I don’t deserve (Gloria Furman once told me, “Life outside of the Garden of Eden is a mercy from God”), but do you know how I fill my week days? Some of you might already know and the rest of you, well, I know you’ve been on pins and needles waiting to hear alllllll about it (please catch the sarcasm). So wait no longer!
The magazines will no longer require a new app download for each issue, but will be accessible within the magazine app in the Newsstand. If you don’t have an iPad, you can continue downloading the PDF version of the magazine at www.realtruthmatters.com/magazine .
For those unfamiliar with the mag, it has a little something for everyone: a Christian living section, a pastors section, a missions section, and much more. This magazine is designed to equip, encourage, challenge and motivate Christ-followers around the world to a greater pursuit of Jesus Christ, who is the Gospel.
We are so grateful for the Lord’s sovereign hand, grace and provision that has called this publication into being and sustains it He sends it to the nations.
The magazine continues to be downloaded around the world and we ask you to join us in prayer for fruit to come in response to the Word of the Lord for the honor and exaltation of Jesus Christ.
